Passion Press The answer to the passion conundrum in that article is I think the main reason is that from childhood most of us are taught to fear passion, to view it as dangerous. We are led to believe that there is something dark about it, that it has a sinister element that compels people to commit crimes in its name. That it is irrational and unpredictable. That it brings heartache and regret. We begin to believe that the pursuit of passion is also the pursuit of pain and uncertainty. Why put everything on the line when the payoff might be resounding failure or humiliation? Why bring such risk on ourselves when we can take a much safer and foreseeable path?

Based on experience and that of others studied, advised, and consulted, have learned that those able to overcome the deterrents to fulfillment derive their energy and initiative from a single source: passion. That's right, passion. Not the romantic variety, although many argue it certainly cannot hurt, but the kind that fills you with energy and excitement, that gets you up in the morning and keeps you awake at night. When you experience it, you lose track of time and become absorbed in the task at hand.

As Benjamin Disraeli said over a century ago, people achieve greatness only when they act from their heart and

their passion. Those who learn to recognize the prompting of their heart and then find the courage to follow them are the ones who win races, rule nations, and create masterpieces. They also, regardless of their circumstances, lives with   a sense of contentment and a knowledge that they are who they want to be.

Can you imagine loving your life down to almost the last detail? It seems impossible, doesn't it? Can you image jumping out of bed every morning, eager to go about your day-to-day activities because they strike a chord in you, because you love them?  By friend that what passion will do to your life.
