17 The flow
We flow about how to change habit in our lives on yesterday, knowledge, skill and desire. Now let’s talk about our biggest freedom that we have in life. There is one space that we have freedom on and that
is the space between stimulus and response. We are stimulation my something then we response. We can decide within ourselves how we are going to response, between what happen to use and the stimulus, and how we response to it. Between stimulus and response, man has the freedom to
choose.
Within the freedom to choose are those endowments that make us uniquely human. In addition to self-awareness, we have imagination—the ability to create in our minds beyond out present reality. We have conscience—a deep inner awareness of right
and wrong, of the principles that govern our behavior and sense of the degree to which our thoughts and actions are harmony with them. And we have independent will—the ability to act based on our self-awareness, free of all other influences. Our unique human endowments lift us
above the animal world. The extent to which we exercise and develop these endowments empowers us to fulfill our uniquely human potential. Between stimulus and response is our greatest power—the freedom to choose
In life we can have are environment taken that is a lot of our liberty, but remember they can’t take our last freedom and that is the response between stimulation. Hold on to your last and only real freedom in life.

18th The Flow
In discovering the basic principle of nature of man, described an accurate self map from which we began to develop the first and most basic habit in any person and environment, and that is proactive. The
word it means more than merely taking initiative. It means that as human beings we are responsible for own lives. Our behavior is a function of our decisions not our conditions we can subordinate feelings to values. We have the initiative and the responsibility to make things
happen.
Look at the word responsibility---“response-ability”--- the ability to choose your response. Highly proactive people recognize that responsibility. They do not blame circumstances, conditions choice, based on values, rather than a product of
their conditions, based on feeling. Because we are, by nature, proactive, if our lives are a function of conditioning and conditions, it is because we have, by conscious decision or by default, chosen to empower those things to control us.
In making such a choice, we become reactive. Reactive people are often affected by their physical environment. If the weather is good, they feel good. If it isn’t, it affects their attitude and their performance. Proactive people can carry their
own weather with them. Whether it rains or shine makes no difference to them. They are values driven: and if their value is to produce good quality work, it isn’t a function of whether the weather is conductive to it or not. Bring your sunshine out today and shine on your world.

19th The Flow
“Begin with the end in mind” is based on the principle that all things are created twice. There’s a mental or first creation, and a physical or second creation to all things. Take the construction of a home, for example. You create it in every
detail before you ever hammer the first nail into place. You try to get a clear sense of what kind of house you want.
The carpenter’s rule is “measure twice, cut once.” You have to make sure that the blueprint, the first creation, is really what you want, that you’ve thought everything through. Then you put it into bricks and mortar. Each day you go to the
construction shed and pull out blueprint to get marching orders for the day. This is the second habit of 7 habits of highly effective people. And oh by the way, being proactive is habit number one.
To varying degrees, people use this principle in many different areas of life. Before you go on a trip, you determine your destination and plan out the best route. Before you plant a garden, you plan it out in your mind, possibly on paper. You
create speeches on paper before you give them, you envision the landscape, and you design the clothes you make before you thread the needle. So my friends “begin with the end in the mind. Measure twice and cut once. It great to plan thing out, if you don’t you could end up
anywhere. It your map to your destination, happy riding to your dream.

20th The flow
Sometimes when I consider what tremendous consequences come from little things I am temped to think there are no little things. Suppose you were to come upon someone in the woods working feverishly to saw down a tree. “What are you doing?” you
ask. “Can’t you see?” comes the impatient reply. “I’m sawing down this tree.” “You look exhausted.” “How long have you been at it”? Over five hours,” he returns, “and I’m beat! This is hard work.” Well, why don’t you take a break for a few minutes and sharpen that saw?” “I’m sure
it would go a lot faster.” “I don’t have time to sharpen the saw,” the man says emphatically. “I’m too busy sawing!”
“Sharpen the saw” basically mean expressing all four motivations. It means exercising all four dimensions of our nature, regularly and consistently in wise and balanced ways. Those four dimensions are physical, mental, social and spiritual.
Physical is exercise, nutrition, stress management. Mental is reading, visualizing, planning and writing. Social Emotional is service, empathy, synergy, intrinsic security. Spiritual is value clarification & commitment, study & mediation.
This is the single most powerful investment we can ever make in life investment in ourselves, in the only instruments of which to deal with life and to contribute. We are the instruments of our performance, and to be effective, we need to
recognize the importance of taking time regularly to sharpen the saw in all four ways. So take time out to sharpen the saw and that you and your four dimensions.

21st The flow
Welcome to another week of the flow, this week we are going to flow about Higher Consciousness. Why do we have lives filled with turmoil, desperation, and anxiety? Why are we always pushing ourselves and
others? Why do we have only small dribbles of peace, love, and happiness? Why is it that human beings are characterized, by bickering and turmoil that make animals” relationships with their own species seem peaceful in comparison? The answer is so simple—but it is sometimes
difficult for us to really understand because almost every way we were taught to work toward happiness only reinforces the feelings and activates that make us unhappy.
This is a central point that must be understood. The ways we were taught to be happy can’t possibly work. Unless we see this point clearly, we cannot progress to higher consciousness, here why. Most of us assume that our desires (backed up by our
emotional feelings) are the true guides to doing the things that will make us happy. But no one has yet found happiness by using emotion-back desires as guides.
Our wants and desires are so seductive…..They masquerade as “needs” that must be satisfied so we can be happy at last. They lead us from one illusion of happiness to another. Some of us tell ourselves, “If I can found the right person than I can
be happy. As we grow into higher consciousness, we discover that it is more important to be the right person than to find the right person.

22nd The flow
Let’s take a look at the 12 pathways of higher consciousness. Today we will look at pathway 1 thru 3. Here is number 1, I am free myself from security, sensation, and power addictions that make me try to forcefully control situation in my life,
and thus destroy my serenity and keep me from loving myself and others. As long as you have addictions, they will be dominated by the vain attempt to help you find happiness by manipulating the world around you into fitting your addictions.
Here is number 2, I am discovering how my consciousness-dominating addictions create my illusory version of the changing world of people and situations around me. We see things not as they are but as we are. You should always be aware that your
head creates your world. Your addiction patterns your expectations, your desires, your attachments, your demands your mental models dominate your perceptions of the people and things around you it is only when you become free of your addictive programming that you can perceive
how things really interact in your world.
Here is number 3, I welcome the opportunity (even if painful) that my minute to minute experience offers me to become aware of the addictions I must reprogram to be liberated from my robot like emotional patterns. How do you spot your addictions?
It’s easy. You just notice the desires and expectations that you use to make your self feel uptight in various situations. By tuning in to your minute to minute stream of consciousness, you discover the addictions that make you worried, anxious, resentful, uptight, afraid, angry,
bored, etc. you thus use every uncomfortable emotion as an opportunity for consciousness growth

23rd The flow
Today we will deal with pathways 4 and 5. Here is pathway number 4. I always remember that I have everything I need to enjoy my here and now—unless I am letting my consciousness be dominated by demands and expectations based on the dead past or
imagined future. If you are not enjoying every here and now moment in your life, it is because your addictions (otherwise known as desires, attachment, demands, expectations, emotional programming, models of how life should treat you) are making you dwell in the dead past or the
imagined future. They are keeping you from being here now. All there is in your life is the eternal now moment and your experience of this moment is created by programming in your head.
Here is number 5. I take full responsibility here and now for everything I experience, for it is my own programming that creates my actions and also influences the reactions of people around me. Whenever you are unhappy,
your emotions are telling you that people and things are not fulfilling the addiction patterns you have programmed into head. But you usually do not talk to yourself in this realistic way. Instead, you blame your unhappiness on somebody or something outside of you. You say things
like, “Lisa makes me jealous,” or “Jake makes me mad.” But what is really happening is that someone is doing things that do not conform with the patterns of your addictions and your addictions are making you unhappy. Communication with you on tomorrow with a couple more of the
pathways from the 12 pathways of higher consciousness

24th The flow
Today the 6th pathway will be the one we talk about, here is pathway number 6. I accept myself completely here and now and consciously experience everything I feel, think, say, and do (including my emotion-backed addictions) as a
necessary part of my growth into higher consciousness. The living love way to higher consciousness is based on the instant emotional acceptance here and now of that which you previously regarded as unacceptable in your life. Acceptance simply means that you won’t cause yourself
emotional conflict because of your current perceptions. Emotional acceptance doesn’t mean that you have to continue living the rest of your life with any particular person or situation. You are free to do anything you prefer to do but don’t be addicted to the results of your
actions if someone does something that “hurts your ego,” you will grow faster if you consciously regard him or her as your teacher who is enabling you to discover which addictions you will have to reprogram.
When you watch the entire drama of your life and that of other people from the safe vantage point of the audience, you begin to provide a distance the enables you to see your addictions more clearly. You will find it easier to completely accept
the addictive dramas that you have to play out on the stage of your life. You will find a turned on joy in consciously experiencing everything as a necessary part of your growth into higher consciousness. Talk to you in the morning about pathway number 7. |
